Consultation Fees
The Doctors practising at Clarence Medical Centre choose to bill their patients privately. We can submit an on-the-spot claim to Medicare on your behalf, and the funds will be in your account within seconds.
We continue to accept the Medicare rebate as full payment for Health Assessments and GP management plans.
Please note that phone consultations are subject to the same fees as face-to-face consultations. Routine script requests are $15, and referral renewals are $20. Payment is to be made at the time of the request.
CURRENT CONSULTATION FEES:
SHORT consultation - less than 6 minutes: $58 (Medicare rebate $18.95) Out of Pocket $39.05
STANDARD consultation - less than 20 minutes: $90 (Medicare rebate $41.40) Out of Pocket $48.60
LONG consultation - more than 20 minutes: $137 (Medicare rebate $80.10) Out of Pocket $56.90
PROLONGED consultation - more than 40 minutes: $205 (Medicare rebate $118.00) Out of Pocket $87.00
EXTENDED consultation - more than 60 minutes: $263 (Medicare rebate $191.20) Out of Pocket $71.80
CONSULTATION DISCOUNT STRUCTURE:
Children 15 and under will be bulk-billed for consultations.
Pension/Concession Card holders attract a $10 discount.
DVA Gold card holders are bulk-billed.

Cancellation Policy:
If cancellation is necessary, please cancel at least 3 hours before your scheduled appointment for a standard appointment, and 24 hours prior for a long or new patient appointment.
We are experiencing a particularly high demand for appointments, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to care at that time. Failure to provide adequate notice will attract a cancellation fee.
New patients and/or long appointments: $100 late cancellation fee
Standard appointments: $40 late cancellation fee
